Don’t depend on other people for your confidence: It feels good when people tell you that you look good or tell you that you’re doing a good job. We all like getting compliments but it becomes a problem when your confidence is based on what other people say or think about you. The problem with that is, when people don’t compliment you, your confidence will also suffer.

That is why your confidence should come from within. Be the source of your confidence by taking care of your body. Exercising, eating healthy and be kind to yourself. Don’t be hard on yourself when you make a mistake. These small tricks will will make you feel capable and can turn your mood around on a bad day.

Practice being happy in your own body. Every time you find yourself about say something bad or mean about yourself, say something that you love about yourself instead.

Check your social media activity: We’re all guilty of spending too much time on social media. We get lost in people’s lives because they look perfect, and look like the lives that we want for ourselves.

Something else that is bad for you confidence is checking your social media when you wake up in the morning and right before bed.

Take a step back from social networks and be grateful for all the good things that you have in your life. Being grateful will remind you of what’s important in life, will make you thankful and most importantly it will turn your lows into highs.

Stand tall: This one may seem silly but good posture actually does help you feel stronger and more confident. If you’re feeling nervous about talking in front of crowds or afraid to have a difficult conversation with a friend.

Just straighten your back, square those shoulders and keep your head up and you will feel better.

Fake it till you make it: There are days when no matter how good you look, you feel low. On days like that, try pretending to be confident. Act like the person you wish you were at the time. As time goes by, you won’t be pretending because you will actually feel confident.

Confidence is a process and you have to work at it all the time. The rewards are worth it because you will feel stronger, you will believe in yourself and feel worthy of the things that you want.
